What is the 3 for 30 Path to Wellness Challenge? The American College of Sports Medicine recommends that most adults should accumulate a minimum of 30 minutes of moderate exercise daily to maintain a healthy active lifestyle. This new challenge is structured to help motivate you to meet the recommended guidelines.

ACSM’s threshold for an active lifestyle is 30 minutes of exercise 3 days per week for 3 months. Start your wellness path in 2018 by signing up for our challenge. This year, it will be co-hosted by Campus Recreation and Kilter Rewards, a mobile fitness incentives app that gives you $1 in rewards for every workout!

Make sure you use the same email address that you registered with when you create your Kilter account.  (You must first register through the link provided to be entered into our 3 for 30 Challenge)

The SRF and SFC will be open 10:30a-8p on Monday 1/15/18.

The hot water and air temperature issues at the SRF have been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Due to a burst pipe on campus, there is currently no heat or hot water at the SRF.

We will update this message on social media and here on our website when the issue is resolved.

Effective 2pm this Sunday November 19th, the ORC (Outdoor Recreational Courts – which include the basketball and tennis courts) located north of the Student Recreation Facility (737 S. Halsted) will be CLOSED for the season.

Due to Illinois Department of Transportation construction work in this area, the courts will be closed indefinitely.

Via email and our website, we will update the UIC community as to the reopening of the courts, once construction has concluded.

This morning’s maintenance at the SRF pool is complete. The pool is now open.

Pool Closed

Due to necessary mechanical work at the Student Recreation Facility, the swimming pool will be closed from 7:30am-12pm Monday October 16th.

If the work concludes sooner than expected, the pool will reopen earlier. Look for updates Monday morning on our Facebook/Twitter feeds.
