“When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid” – Audre Lorde

Why I teach fitness classes:  I love the energy that is created when you are in a group of people that are in movement. It’s fun and creates a positive environment that everyone can thrive off. I love the feeling a being able to to do that while getting peoples hearts racing, and endorphin’s pumping

All progress takes place outside the comfort zone-Michael John Bobak

Why I teach fitness classes:  Motivating others toward fitness goals is my passion.

“The difference between those who are successful and others is not a lack of knowledge, not a lack of strength, but rather a lack of will.”

Why I teach fitness classes:  I want to bring a comfortable and exciting atmosphere to each of my classes that emphasizes teamwork to make living a healthy lifestyle fun for everyone involved!

“Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more successful.” -Mark Victor Hanse

Why I teach fitness classes:  The reason I became a group fitness instructor is because I took my first class about two years ago and saw how motivating and instructional it was. My form was bad, I was deconditioned, and the class really helped me become stronger and more motivated.

“Do your practice, and all is coming.” – Sri K. Patthabi Jois

Why I teach fitness classes: I enjoy teaching because it helps me maintain physical, mental and emotional balance, and share that balance with others.

The difference between who you are and who you want to be is what you do. You don’t have to be great to get started, but you do have to get started to be great. Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try   — Bill Phillips/ Marc and Angel

Why I teach fitness classes:   I teach group fitness because it gives me the opportunity to create a fun and non-intimidating avenue for physical activity that gets beginners excited about exercise, yet challenges those more advanced. Aerobic activity can be daunting and group exercise provides an encouraging and motivating atmosphere.

“When you feel like quitting, think about why you started”

I teach group fitness because I wasn’t very confident working out by myself when I first started and I want to show in my class that working out doesn’t have to be scary! It can be fun and enjoyable, while working towards your personal fitness goal!

“If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.”

I teach dance fitness, because I love to dance. I enjoy sharing my passion in a beneficial way to get a great work out in. l incorporate cardio, muscle strength, and different dance moves in my classes to allow individuals to challenge themselves both mentally and physically, and to have fun while potentially stepping out of their comfort zone and trying something different at the gym.

“Don’t train to be skinny, train to be a badass” (Demi Lovato)

“I’ve taken a lot of group fitness classes and they’ve helped me in my fitness journey and so now I teach group fitness to help others with their fitness goals”

“Success doesn’t come to you, you go to it”

I like teaching Strengthen & Lengthen, a Pilates based class, because it makes me feel like a million bucks. Hopefully everyone leaves feeling the same way as I do after a rejuvenating Pilates session.
