Group Fitness and Personal Trainer Workshop
This preparation course is for people who aspire to become personal trainers or fitness instructors. Developed to give you the knowledge and hands-on experience that will enable you to become a leader in the fitness field. Participants who complete the course will be prepared to pass a nationally accredited certification. The Prep Course is not designed to serve as a sole means of studying for a certification – it is meant to be a supplement. Topics include: basic and functional anatomy, applied exercise physiology, program design principles, form and technique instruction, client interaction and nutritional concepts. Practical sessions will apply concepts covered in the lecture and serve to prepare students to work one-on-one with clients or teach a fitness class.
Enrolled students will have the opportunity to take Campus Recreation’s written and practical final exam to then participate in our interview process.
The summer session will be held on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 1-3pm June 17th – Aug. 8th.
