As part of continuous plans to offer the best facilities and services through Campus Recreation, the flooring in the MAC Gym and MAC Suite will be refinished. Both spaces will close on Monday, May 21st with plans to reopen on Tuesday, June 5th. Please monitor our social media outlets and website for additional updates. Badminton drop-in activities will be offered in the 4-Court Gym during this closure; soccer is available at the Outdoor Field Complex on South Campus upon request, when no other activities are scheduled. Please check the calendar on our website for availability for both drop-in activities. As with all maintenance/repair projects, it is possible this project could last longer than expected or could be completed sooner than expected. While the fumes from the products used during this project are not dangerous to those in the facility, you may notice an odor in the area.
UIC Campus Recreation is a department within Campus Auxiliary Services (CAS) and is partially funded by student fees. CAS is a unit within Student Affairs.

What is the 3 for 30 Path to Wellness Challenge? The American College of Sports Medicine recommends that most adults should accumulate a minimum of 30 minutes of moderate exercise daily to maintain a healthy active lifestyle. This new challenge is structured to help motivate you to meet the recommended guidelines.
ACSM’s threshold for an active lifestyle is 30 minutes of exercise 3 days per week for 3 months. Start your wellness path in 2018 by signing up for our challenge. This year, it will be co-hosted by Campus Recreation and Kilter Rewards, a mobile fitness incentives app that gives you $1 in rewards for every workout!
Register HERE Once you complete the registration Download the Kilter Rewards app and create an account. Make sure you use the same email address that you registered with when you create your Kilter account. (You must first register through the link provided to be entered into our 3 for 30 Challenge)

In addition to the benefits that you will receive from your own personal journey through exercise, we will also provide a weekly email sharing a motivational tip for the week, a nutrition tip and what program options we are offering.

HOW THE CHALLENGE WORKS:
Every time you visit one of the UIC gyms, check in through Kilter Rewards.
- Work out and check in at least 3 times per week throughout the duration of the challenge.
- Once you’ve hit your 3x per week goal for at least 4 weeks out of the 12 week challenge, you will earn 30% off any service. Must register by Feb. 1st to receive the T-shirt. But wait, if you keep going, you could win bigger prizes!
- Workout 3x per week for at least 8 weeks and be entered into a raffle for our TIER TWO PRIZES.
- Workout 3x per week for all 12 weeks and be entered into a raffle win our GRAND PRIZES.
Every four weeks, Kilter Rewards will email you a progress report telling you how you’re doing in the challenge!
