Cross Country & Track Club
The purpose of this organization shall be to provide a community for competitive runners at UIC where new personal records will be set, friendships will be formed, and leaders will be developed. To provide a community for runners at UIC who want to continue running competitively to set new personal records. To reach this goal, the club will compete nationally against other top clubs when possible, including at NIRCA Regionals and Nationals for Cross Country and Track, and at NIRCA sponsored meets or races with NIRCA teams for Cross Country and Track. In addition, the club will also compete against varsity squads from D-I, D- II, D-III, and NAIA as preparation for those major races. Funds for the club will be raised through various other fundraising activities, as well as through funding from the University of Illinois. The club also will maintain its status as a Registered Student Organization (RSO).

Highlights FY 2017-2018
1) Established as a new club this past academic year. 2) First time we were able to send our athletes to compete at NIRCA Nationals for cross country. 3) From January to December 2017, our team doubled to 20 consistent runners. 4) Competed in six total track meets this spring semester. 5) Had our first sprinting event athletes compete this Spring 2018.
