Group Fitness Instructor Workshop
The Group Fitness Instructor Prep Course is designed to prepare individuals to take the ACE Group Fitness Instructor certification exam. This 8-week course provides curriculum and materials consisting of PowerPoint presentations, lectures, interactive group activities, and practical programming/training. The Prep Course does NOT certify individuals as Group Fitness Instructors. Individuals wishing to become certified Group Fitness Instructors must register separately for an ACE Group Fitness Instructor certification exam at www.acefitness.org.
Location: Student Recreation Facility (SRF), Conference room 117.
Date/Time: 3:00pm to 5:00pm, Mondays and Wednesdays, February 2nd-April 1st. (No classes during Spring Break March 23rd-27th)
Registration closes: January 30th
Cost: Students $75.00, Members $100.00, Non-students $125.00

Class Participants must purchase the ACE Group Fitness book.
Eligibility Requirements: The ACE Group Fitness Instructor Prep Course is open to UIC community.
*Completion of the ACE Group Fitness Instructor Prep Course does not guarantee a job as a Group Fitness Instructor for UIC Recreation and Wellbeing.
*In the event a class cannot take place in person, the instructor reserves the right to hold the class via ZOOM.
