UIC Students Explore Wellness and Connection in the Badlands
Spring break in the Badlands
During spring break, students traveled with Recreation and Wellbeing to South Dakota's Badlands National Park for an immersive outdoor adventure experience focused on community, personal growth, and wellbeing.
The trip provided students with opportunities to disconnect from daily routines, challenge themselves in a new environment, and build meaningful connections with peers through hiking, camping, and shared experiences in nature.
Experiential trips like this reflect Recreation and Wellbeing's commitment to creating welcoming opportunities that support student success, belonging, and holistic wellbeing beyond campus.
