Since 2015, Healthy Campus Week has been a nationwide event where campuses across the country engage their students in healthy activities and wellbeing education. This year, from September 16-20, we invite you to join us in promoting a healthier, more sustainable campus community.
Each day of the week features a different theme, encouraging students to participate in various activities and competitions. Campuses share their events and activities on social media, fostering a sense of community and nationwide participation.
This Year’s Themes
- Monday, September 16: Farmers Market/Sustainability
- Explore local farmers markets and learn about sustainable practices.
- Tuesday, September 17: Food Insecurity Awareness
- Participate in activities that raise awareness about food insecurity and ways to combat it.
- Wednesday, September 18: Largest Physical Activity Challenge
- Join the largest physical activity challenge on campus! Get moving and track your progress.
- Thursday, September 19: Mindfulness/Mental Health Awareness
- Engage in mindfulness practices and mental health awareness activities to support your wellbeing.
- Friday, September 20: Eating Fruits & Veggies in School or Sorority/Fraternity Colors
- Celebrate the week by eating fruits and vegetables in your school or sorority/fraternity colors.
Get Involved
- Participate: Join the activities and competitions happening throughout the week.
- Share: Post your experiences on social media using @healthiercampus @uic_campusrec and #healthycampusweek.
- Learn: Take part in workshops, discussions, and events that promote a healthier lifestyle.

Healthier Campus Initiative
The Healthier Campus Initiative aims to enhance the health and wellness of students across colleges and universities nationwide. They provide resources, support, and guidelines to help campuses foster healthy lifestyles.
